School nurses, teachers, counselors, nurses amd parents attended to learn more about the latest research and treatments being down at the University of Iowa as well as re-entry information for cancer survivors into the school system. Dr. Thomas Loew was the feutured presenter followed by a panel of experts including: Susan Benton, Hospital Teacher; Brenda Engebretson, Child Psychologist; Mary Schlapkohl, Nurse Practioner; Bonnie Winslow-Garvin, parent and Jake Schaefer, 24 year childhood cancer survivor.
Senior College Mini Medical School (September 2008)

Arizona Mini Medical School - March 2008

John Fingert, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine presented "Age Related Vision Loss: Understanding Common Eye Conditions and Looking into the Future."
